Brigid, Dublin Today is the 5th of January and last night we finally finished our beautiful Christmas chicken-turkey. It’s what we named the beast that arrived a few days before Christmas weighing over 8 kg’s! It was a lovely succulent bird and made an equally delicious stock, soup and curry. Not to mention a few days of sambos with stuffing and cranberry sauce. I won’t review the ham fillet which I’m sure was delicious because I overcooked it! Despite being overcooked, however, the flavour was divine - just needed a bit more sauce! As for the smoked puddings - well, they never let us down. Always a winner in our house and I love putting them into my homemade sausage rolls too. So - five stars from us! Hope you were all able to relax after the crazy Christmas season!
