The Smokin' Butcher — Electric Picnic Competition 2026

Terms & Conditions

Promoter: The Smokin' Butcher, a brand of Hugh Maguire Butchers and Smokehouse, Unit 3&4, Mullaghboy Industrial Estate, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 F38P, Ireland ("the Promoter").

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

1.2 The competition is not open to employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, or anyone else professionally connected with the competition.

1.3 Proof of age, identity and residency may be required to claim the prize.

2. How to Enter

2.1 To enter, complete the official entry form (accessed via the competition QR code) with your name, county, age bracket and email address, and submit it.

2.2 Entrants are encouraged to follow @thesmokinbutcher_ on Instagram; however, entry is completed by submitting the form.

2.3 Only one entry per person. Duplicate or automated entries will be disqualified.

2.4 No purchase is necessary. Entry is free.

3. Competition Period

3.1 The competition opens on 29 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 15 November 2026 ("the Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted.

4. The Prize

4.1 The prize is: two (2) Electric Picnic 2027 Day Passes and one (1) signed copy of Blood, Guts & Black Pudding by Kate Ryan.

4.2 There is one (1) winner.

4.3 The Electric Picnic 2027 Day Passes will be purchased by the Promoter on the winner's behalf once official tickets go on general sale via the authorised ticket agent. The prize is subject to ticket availability at the time of purchase.

4.4 The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. There is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or any part of it) with a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.

4.5 The Electric Picnic Day Passes are subject to the separate terms and conditions of Electric Picnic and its official ticket agent, including age and admission requirements. The winner is responsible for their own travel, accommodation and any other associated costs.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries within seven (7) days of the Closing Date.

5.2 The winner will be notified by email (and/or Instagram direct message) using the details provided at entry. The winner must respond within fourteen (14) days to claim the prize.

5.3 If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 14 days, or is unable to meet these Terms & Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to draw an alternative winner.

6. Data Protection

6.1 Personal data collected during entry will be processed in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy, available at [privacy policy link].

6.2 Entrants' details will be used to administer the competition. Where an entrant has opted in, their details will also be used to send marketing communications from The Smokin' Butcher. Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing sales@thesmokinbutcher.com.

6.3 The Promoter will not share entrants' personal data with third parties except as required to administer the competition or as set out in its Privacy Policy.

7. Instagram Disclaimer

7.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.

8. General

8.1 The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.2 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition at any time where circumstances make this unavoidable.

8.3 The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity. The winner's first name and county may be published to announce the result.

8.4 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
