Made with tender ground beef, savory veggies, and a creamy mashed potato topping, this classic dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a casual gathering with friends.

- Kylemore Acres Shepherds Pie Mix – Gluten Free
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 500 g Hugh Maguire Butchers Minced Beef or Lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 celery stick, diced
- 1 big tomato, diced
- 2 big carrots, diced
- 100g frozen peas
- 1 heaped teaspoon of flour
- 400ml water
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 5kg potatoes
- Peel the potatoes, cut into chunks and boil in salty water until cooked.
- Chop the veg.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion until golden.
- Add Hugh Maguire Butchers beef mince and fry until browned.
- Add the flour and the Shepherds Pie Mix, fry for a minute.
- Add the tomato, water, celery, carrots and tomato puree.
- Turn down the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, add the peas and transfer to a casserole dish.
- Mash the potatoes with butter, a bit of milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg to your liking and top and seal the mince mixture with the potato mash.
- Cook in preheated oven at 180C until golden, approx. 30 mins.
